Pure Talents veteran emcee Danny Yeo was honoured to be back for the 11th year to host SGIFF’s Media Conference as a kick-start to the much-anticipated festival. For him, it’s a way of giving back to the film industry.
Attending the media conference were: Chairperson Mr Boo Junfeng, Executive Director Ms Emily Hoe, Artistic Director Ms Kuo Ming-Jung, as well as IMDA’s Mr Howie Lau and representatives of BMW Asia. The festival will be presented in a hybrid model – screenings at the cinemas and viewings via online platforms. SGIFF31’s opening film is Singaporean director Tan Bee Thiam’s Tiong Bahru Social Club. Don Aravind’s short film Silk is also in the Singapore Panorama Short Programme. Both directors shared about their films during the session.
SGIFF31 will run from 26 November 2020 till 6 December 2020.
