Danny Yeo presented a public sharing session at the Singapore Book Fair as the book author of Yang Sheng Tang 扬声堂, which won Best Book Cover Design at Singapore Book Awards 2017.

The talk was about the intricate designs, creative ideas and interesting concepts behind the book’s design. Indeed, choice of fonts, decisions on layout, colours photos, “breathing space” and “hidden finds” are all very important for a book. The devil is in the details and this was definitely a book painstakingly written and designed with lots of details!

Singapore Book Fair was organised by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Chinese Media Group. The talk was hosted by Yang Quanbin, a radio producer-presenter from SPH who was formerly Danny’s student at Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

Yang Sheng Tang was published by Global Publishing and the book cover was first conceptualised and proposed by Ling Poh Foong.
