We must thank Danny Yeo for hosting the ATEA Teochew Entrepreneur Award 2018. I strongly recommend Danny. I have worked with several Emcees and he is the BEST. A class above all. He has done extra by spending time to research on us, remaking out a solid script and helping us to really promote our event. He has clearly demonstrated that he knows us, engaging the audience with his humorous off cuff lines and making us feel at ease. Booking him and it will only be him for our actual Gala Nite!!! Danny Yeo was specially selected by the organising committee to host the press launch of ASEAN Teochew Entrepreneur Award, with Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of National Development as Guest of Honour. The award is organised by Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan’s Local and International Affairs Committee.
During his opening, Danny took the opportunity to greet guests from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore in various languages – English, Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, Mandarin and of course, Teochew – much to the delight of all attendees who applauded his initiative.
The prestigious award gives due recognition to Teochew businesses and entrepreneurs for their accomplishments and professional excellence. The award also applauds successful and promising Teochew entrepreneurs for their invaluable contributions to the business community, economy and society. Winners serve to provide leadership and as guiding examples for young emerging entrepreneurs. Speakers at the press launch event included Organising Chairman Mr Neo Sing Hwee, Chief Judge Dato’ Seri Dr Derek Goh BBM, GOH Dr Koh Poh Koon, Advisor Dr Kenny Sim, 2016 Promising Award Winner Mr Mark Tan, 2016 Presitge Award Winners Dr Richard Goh and Mr Patrick Koh.
