Lin Baofeng was specially selected to return as the anchoring bilingual emcee to host the opening ceremony of Esplanade’s Huayi Chinese Festival of Arts 2018. Huayi is a festival that presents the dynamic arts of Chinese artists from around the world, and it celebrated its 16th edition this year.
The 10-day festival presented a sumptuous feast of programmes – indoors and outdoors, ticketed and non-ticketed – in theatre, dance and music. Baofeng delighted the crowd with her easy banter and amiable hosting. She led the audience in cheering on the performers and basking in a joyous celebratory atmosphere.
Baofeng also hosted a series of performance events over the entire duration of Huayi Festival, at various venues including the Esplanade Courtyard, Concourse, and Outdoor Theatre, from 23rd February to 1st March.
