110th Anniversary Gala Celebrations and Dinner
with Guest of Honour Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong

Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI) celebrated its 110th Anniversary with a grand gala dinner attended by many distinguished guests from various overseas chambers of commerce, representatives from the diplomatic offices, government agencies, business and clan associations, cultural and educational communities, as well as members of the Chamber. A total of more than 300 guests representing 31 overseas Chinese Chambers and business associations were at the gala dinner.
The Guest of Honour was Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong who was accompanied by other ministers, senior ministers of state and heads of overseas delegations, including Mr Ng Eng Hen, Mr Gan Kim Yong, Mr S Iswaran, Mr Chan Chun Sing, Mr Ng Chee Meng, Ms Sim Ann, Mr Ong Chee How, and Ms Low Yen Ling. Leading the party was Chairman for SCCCI’s 110th Anniversary Organising Committee Mr Roland Ng and President of SCCCI Mr Thomas Chua.
Besides speeches and performances, the night also saw the presentation of Meritorious Awards to honour SCCCI’s Immediate Past President Mr Teo Siong Seng and SCCCI’s Honorary President Mr Chua Thian Poh.
After the cake-cutting ceremony, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong presented a plaque with carved Chinese calligraphy 聚商惠民 (unifying businesses, benefitting society) to SCCCI as it leads the Chinese business community in gaining bigger achievements and attaining peace and prosperity for Singapore.
