18 Nov 2017 (Sat), 6pm – 7pm
Pure Talents bilingual emcee Jasmine Xie enthusiastically hosted the community show for Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) Community Series “Yoh” at Toa Payoh and delightfully engaged the large group of audience at Toa Payoh HDB Hub Atrium.
SCO presented a series of dance pieces from different regions and countries, melodic pieces such as Red Ribbon Dance, Yarkaiyin Kaatchhi, Rose Dance of the Yi Tribe, Ungarishche Tanze (Hungarian Dance) No. 5, Pizzicato Polka, The Dancing of Golden Snake, and many more.
With more than 80 musicians, SCO seeks to promote Nanyang Music that incorporates musical elements from Southeast Asia. Since 1997, SCO has been preserving traditional arts and culture, and establishing new frontiers.
Pure Talents is extremely proud of SCO as a long-time supporter and working partner. Our bilingual emcees are always excited about hosting for SCO community events!
The community concert was part of National Arts Council’s Arts in Your Neighbourhood programme.
