For the first time ever, Singapore China International Culture Exchange Association (SCICEA) presented the SCICEA Culture Exchange Awards to deserving members who served the association wholeheartedly as well as being enthusiastic and successful ambassadors in promoting cultural exchanges between Singapore and China. Singapore’s established bilingual emcee Danny Yeo hosted this grand event in front of the two countries’ top government officials, business leaders, cultural ambassadors and educational professionals.
The awards ceremony and celebrations dinner saw more than 1000 guests from Singapore and China mingling together, fortifying stronger relationships between the two countries. In attendance were Minister of State for Ministry of Trade and Industry Mr Teo Ser Luck, Vice Mayor of Shijiazhuang City Hebei Province in China Mr Jiang Wenhong, as well as Chairperson of SCICEA Mdm Song Fanrong.
“建永世之业，留文化之功。”值此新加坡建国50周年、新中建交25周年之际，新中国际文化交流协会以“搭建交流平台，推荐新中合作”为主题，主办了这次：盛大的2014“年度年会”和隆重的颁奖晚宴。这是个群星汇集的领袖精英会，来自教育、文化、企业界的顶尖代表齐聚一堂。新中国际文化交流协会2014年的理事和会员，做出了卓越的贡献，他们为新中两国的文化交流事业呕心沥血，值得尊重、值得学习。为了表彰这些为新中两国的文化交流，做出杰出贡献的人士，特别设立了《2014年文化交流大奖》。
