Danny Yeo led the Professional Emcee Training in Mandarin workshops over a weekend and met a group of eager and excited young enthusiasts all geared up to learn more about stage hosting skills. To no surprise, all of them were proficient in both spoken English and conversational Mandarin.
It was a delightful experience to coach people who are immensely interested and invested. Pure Talents Academy was determined to conduct its first Public Workshop in Mandarin as we saw the need for new bilingual events hosts.
In attendance were educators, a vocal coach, a full-time emcee, a corporate professional as well as arts and theatre practitioners. They all signed up to seek proper training and coaching, to gain confidence in public speaking and events hosting, as well as to explore opportunities in the field.
The workshops were interactive, immersive and participative. Attendees had the opportunities to present a couple of times. To the trainer’s delight, they all improved with each attempt and after every constructive critique. It was truly praxis – putting knowledge acquired immediately to actual practice and gaining insight as well as valued experience from the entire process.
We highly value our participants, especially this unique group who came for the first Mandarin workshop for professional training in events hosting.
